Beschreibung: Must Know:
base_dir has been renamed to PS_BASE. PS_BASE is the where phpshop is installed.
Database schema has been changed. New fields were added. Import upgradeSQL_072-080.txt into your database for structure to be updated.
Fixes and Other:
Fixed style sheet formatting and page layout for demo store and admin area. Looks much more pleasing to the eye.
Created new folder structure in htdocs for images/, styles/ and javascript/. shop images (a.k.a. shop_image) are now under images/shop/. This means you need to change your store info to point to the new image path.
Change the way we generate menus in the admin area by using a slidemenu.
Removed all eval(load_class)) calls. This was left over from PHP 3 ? , we don't need it anymore. require_once will do the trick. The load_class function is still there for backwards compat.
Removed LIBROOT, DOCROOT, MODROOT constants. All paths are relative. Include path is automatically set to /path/to/phpshop/modules/ Changed all .ihtml files to be XHTML compliant. Made the Product Special field a checkbox. No need to type in Y or N.
Changed filename for phpshop.cfg to config.php
Changed formatting of config.php file to use one define per directive.
Added category name to product listing in admin.

Beschreibung: - Redesigned the table layout to place each piece of information in tts own column.
- Flatened customer details into a single row and placed it as the first row of each cart.
- I hope this will be more inline with the other OSC reports and Admin pages, as well as easer to read and understand.
- Formated date using the format specified by DATE_FORMAT defined in each languages main language file (FYI... The OSC DB only stores the date as a varchar(8) type for Customer Baskets, and not as a datetime type).
- Product Description is now a link to the products read-only preview.

Commerce.cgi Script
Beschreibung: Commerce.cgi ist einer der Klassiker unter den Shoppingcarts. Seit 1999 erhältlich, ist das Programm inzwischen etwas in die Jahre gekommen.
Dank des offenen Perl-Quelltextes lässt sich dieser schlichte Warenkorb sehr einfach an beliebige Websites anpassen.
Das Programm arbeitet mit einer Flat-File-Datenbank, bei der die Produkte in einer einfachen separierten Textdatei abgelegt werden. Klar, dass diese Lösung nur bei wenig Traffic und wenigen Produkten sinnvoll ist. Der Vorteil des Flat-File-Formats ist aber seine Schlichtheit.
Wer ein wenig programmieren kann, hat ruck, zuck eine Import-Export-Schnittstelle zu Warenwirtschaft oder Tabellenkalkulation entwickelt. Dabei kann der Entwickler auf den Support der Community und des Entwicklers zählen. Der Quelltext ist sauber programmiert und ausführlich dokumentiert.
Der Shop beherrscht nur eine Sprache, nur eine Währung und bietet auch nur eine Kategorien-Ebene für das Sortiment. Mehr Funktionsumfang würde das Flat-File-Datenbankmodell auch schnell überfordern. Abhilfe dafür bieten die vielen Erweiterungen aus der Community.
Dort findet sich die Möglichkeit, den Shop an eine MySQL-Datenbank anzubinden. Daneben stehen dort verschiedene Versand-Modelle, Rabatt-Module und Zahlungsweisen zur Verfügung. Eines der Highlights ist die Möglichkeit, digitale Produkte per Download zu verkaufen.
Wer mit dem Gedanken spielt, selbst eine Warenkorbfunktion in Perl zu programmieren, sollte vielleicht stattdessen Commerce.cgi nehmen und im Quelltext anpassen! (makepages.txt rückbenen zu makepages.cgi)
